for unblocking blocked YouTube Videos, I've found a guidance, that leads me to www.proxy-list.org. So here I've found an Adress/Port-Number of a working transparent proxy, which I had entered into the networkoptions of my firefoxbrowser, and erverything is working fine.

But one thing I don't understand; when I click at "Show my IP" at www.proxy-list.org, then theyi show me the ip-adress of the proxy and they show me my real ip-adress.

How does this work when I'm using a proxy, which is alleged to hide my real ip-adress?

What about the other websides? When www.proxy-list.org can find out my real ip-adress then surely other sides would be able to do that too?
